Redmi Note 9 Pro Review and Specifications

Redmi (Redmi Note 9 Pro Review)

Release Date and Pricing Redmi Note 9 Pro & also Redmi Note 9 Pro Review:

As promised at Redmi, the new “top for their money” was shown on March 12. Moreover, the company was not afraid to hold a press conference on this subject, although many manufacturers refused public events due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sales of Redmi Note 9 Pro should start on March 17, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max – 25th. Most likely, this spring, new items will reach soon.

Prices turned out to be affordable, but ruble volatility can correct them. At the start of sales, Redmi Note 9 Pro 4/64 GB will cost $ 175 (13.1 thousand rubles at the exchange rate on March 12), 6/128 GB – $ 215 (16.2 thousand rubles).

Pro Max will cost a little more: 6/64 GB – $ 200 (15 thousand rubles), 6/128 GB – $ 228 (17.2 thousand rubles) and 8/128 GB – $ 255 (19.2 thousand rubles). When smartphones appear in Russia, their prices will be higher.

Screen Review:

Perhaps the main change in the display of new products is the rejection of screen cutouts. Recall, the “fringe” appeared in the sixth generation, and over the next two was transformed into a “drop.”

Redmi Note 9 Pro Screen

Now Redmi Note 9 Pro received a fashionable peephole embedded in the screen, like some other competitors. True, it looks somewhat more significant than we would like, but this already progresses for the state employee.

Otherwise, this is the same IPS-matrix with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen has grown again – now its diagonal is 6.67 inches.

Housing Review:

The design of the case resembles everything that we saw at Redmi Note last year. The screen and cover are made of Gorilla Glass 5, but the frame of the matter is plastic.

The framing of the screen is slightly reduced, but the “chin” is visually even thicker than what the Redmi Note 8 Pro had. By the way, on the case, you can see a “small revolution” – the fingerprint sensor from the cover moved to the power button.

Finally, Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max became the most massive smartphones for the entire production of the Note line – their weight is 209 g. Smartphones will be available in three colors Aurora Blue (blue), Glacier White (white), and Interstellar Black ( the black).

Redmi Note 9 Pro Review: CPU, memory, communications

Numerous insider forecasts have not come true – the entire line of Redmi Note is built on processors from Qualcomm. Either the experiment with the Note 8 Pro was not so successful, or the MTK will receive some new modification – we do not know this. Both Pro and Pro Max are powered by the latest 8nm Snapdragon 720G processor.

The chipset works in tandem with the Adreno 618 video accelerator and issues more than 278 thousand points in the popular AnTuTu benchmark, which is an excellent result.

The new generation will not have a version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of permanent memory. The minimum is 4/64 GB, and the maximum release of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will receive 8 and 128 GB. Also, a microSD memory card is saved, which simultaneously works with two SIM cards.

Perhaps the main oddity of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is that they do not have an NFC chip. Yes, something unexpected happened, and for some reason, Redmi decided to deprive contactless payments of their new smartphones, which would spoil the impression of a gadget from a Russian buyer.

Perhaps in global versions, it will still appear, as was the case with the G8. There are other interfaces here – from Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac to the infrared port for controlling household appliances. And even the 3.5 mm audio jack is saved.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Review About Camera:

The main difference (and even then a little) between Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is their cameras. Both smartphones have four sensors in the main photo module.

The primary camera in the Note 9 Pro has a resolution of 48 megapixels, while the Note 9 Pro Max received a 64-megapixel Samsung GW1 sensor. And all this was already in 8/8 Pro.

The rest of the sensors were also well received by new products from the previous generation – 8 megapixels wide-angle, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel bokeh (the need for the last two cameras is a moot point).

So in the photo and video shooting, the ninth generation is unlikely to give anything new. But the layout of the sensors has changed – if earlier they were arranged in a column, now they are assembled into a square.

Battery Redmi Note 9 Pro Review:

The ninth-generation made a real breakthrough in terms of autonomy. The fact is that both versions received a 5020 mAh battery, which was not yet in the series (Note 8 Pro had a 4,500 mAh battery, but it did not shine with autonomy due to a voracious processor).

Redmi Note 9 Pro Battery

The other good news was the increase in electric charging power, which is now at 33 watts. Truth. Only with the Max version, the “regular” Pro is still content with an 18-watt charger.

Redmi smartphones continue to be the top for their money and are not even going to lose ground. The new hit is just around the corner, and now you can say a lot about what Redmi Note 9 will be like.

Redmi Note 9 Released & Redmi Note 9 Pro Review:

While the company remains silent about the release of new items, network informants are not too talkative. But given the life cycles of the line, it can be assumed that the new Redmi bestseller will be presented in January-February.

It may seem to someone that two generations per year are a bit much, but the Chinese do not think so. If our forecasts come true, then in Russia, a new smartphone will appear at the end of winter.

Price Redmi Note:

The Redmi Note line has always been budgetary with a good ratio of price and quality. And it is unlikely that anything will change in the ninth generation.

Rumors say that the starting price of Note 9 in China will be $ 240 (14.5 thousand rubles). Of course, there will be several modifications from memory, and they will differ slightly in price.
