Screen Review:

Probably, to somehow get the new product off the Huawei P30, the creators decided to use the IPS matrix. This is a 6.57-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.

As emphasized in the presentation, the display is approved by TÜV Rheinland and has a particular “e-book” operating mode. The self-module in the Honor V30 is embedded in the upper left corner of the display.

By the way, the use of IPS technology also attracted the use of the familiar fingerprint scanner, which was placed in the power button.

Housing Review:

In the new generation of flagships, Honor rethought their design. Now the back cover does not shimmer with a cheerful gradient, and its coating has become matte.

The central camera unit, even though it reminds me of the site of the latest iPhone, looks like a completely independent design element. The screen frames have become quite thin, but the lower part still remains wider.

In general, the Honor V30 turned out to be a large and bulky device – the weight reaches 213 g. The smartphone will be offered in four colors: black, blue, blue, and orange.

Honor V30 Review about CPU, memory, communications:

Honor V30 and V30 Pro received the same chipset – 7-nm HiSilicon Kirin 990, operating at a maximum clock frequency of 2.86 GHz. Together with the processor, the Mali-G76 graphics accelerator and the neuro processor module NPU work.

The minimum size of RAM and permanent memory in the smartphone is 6 and 128 GB, respectively. The V30 Pro in the best version is available with 8/256 GB. There is no memory card, but the SIM tray is designed for two Nano-SIMs.

Honor V30 was one of the first to support fifth-generation mobile networks in all versions. Honor believes that their smartphone works with 5G better than competitors. The 5G modem Balong 5000 is responsible for its operation. Of course, the Honor V30 and V30 Pro are also capable of working with LTE.

Smartphones support Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, dual-band GPS, and USB (2.0) Type-C. The NFC chip here is not simple, but with the Super prefix: it can memorize data not only of bank cards but also access keys. But the place for the 3.5 mm audio output in the Honor V30, unfortunately, was not found.

Camera: Honor V30 Review

Actually, in the photo capabilities lies the main difference between the Honor V30 and Honor V30 Pro. The first has a three-chamber module. The primary sensor is similar to that installed in the Huawei P30 (Sony IMX600).

This is a 40MP RYYB pixel camera with an f / 1.7 aperture. The second sensor is an 8-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens, triple optical zoom, and optical stabilization. The third camera is an 8-megapixel module with an ultra-wide-angle lens.

The Honor V30 Pro camera is somewhat more appealing. Firstly, the main module here received optical stabilization, which is very useful when shooting video. The third sensor here is a 12-megapixel sensor with cinematic optics and an f / 2.2 aperture. A set of sensors in the company was called Camera Matrix.

As promised in Honor, both models give a good picture, even in low light or dark.

The Honor V30 has a software feature called AR Magic Photo. It allows you to turn objects from photos into three-dimensional shapes.

Front cameras embedded in the display are identical. These are 32 and 8-megapixel sensors. The latter is with an ultra-wide-angle lens.

Battery: Honor V30 Review

Honor V30 has every chance of working on a single charge for two days because the battery here is at 4200 mAh. But this is not the main thing. From the flagships of Huawei, fast charging at 40 watts, wireless (27 watts), and even reversible, which allows you to charge compatible gadgets from your smartphone, migrated here.
