(Huawei Nova 5 Pro Review and Specifications)
Huawei Nova 5 Pro:
The main model of the Huawei Nova 5 series is the Pro model. True, the differences from the standard Nova are not too extensive, but the price is not much higher.
Huawei Nova 5 Pro review:
Presented Huawei Nova 5 Pro on June 21. Interestingly, the formal flagship of the series will be available for purchase in China two weeks earlier than the Nova 5 – from June 28 in 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB configurations for $ 436 (28 thousand rubles) and $ 494 (31, 7 thousand rubles), respectively.
The timing of the release of the novelty on the world market is unknown, as is the price.

Huawei Nova 5 Pro Review Screen:
Huawei Nova 5 Pro has a 6.39-inch display made using AMOLED technology. The resolution of the matrix is 1080 x 2340 pixels, and the aspect ratio is 19.5: 9. The front-facing camera is tucked away in a waterdrop notch that sits right at the top center. The display specs claim it has 108% DCI-P3 cinematic color coverage.
Huawei Nova 5 Pro Review Housing:
The smartphone uses an optical fingerprint sensor built into the screen, so you won’t find anything on the back panel except for a photo module. The body itself is a “sandwich” of glass, aluminum and glass. The bezels are narrow, but the bottom still stands out like the previous Huawei with a bezel-less design.
The body colors are made in a slightly different gradient. Four options are available – black, green, purple and coral (exclusive to the Pro version). By the way, the smartphone itself cannot be called light, because its weight is 171 g.
Processor, Memory, Communications:
The main difference between the Pro version and Huawei Nova 5 is the chipset. The flagship of the line uses the top-end solution of its own design by the Chinese Kirin 980. This processor debuted at the end of 2018 on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and since then it has been installed in all the most productive smartphones of the company.
In general, the 8-core chipset, made using the 7nm process technology, matches the performance of the Snapdragon 845 (10nm), but clearly does not reach the current 855th. The Mali-G76MP10 video accelerator should “pull” all modern game titles at maximum settings.
You can only choose the amount of permanent memory – 128 or 256 GB. Operational, no alternative 8 GB. You can also install a memory card format Nano Memory, which will work together with two SIM cards.
Huawei Nova 5 Pro has all the wireless interfaces that a modern smartphone rely on – dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, LTE, various navigation protocols and NFC. The smartphone does not have a 3.5 mm audio jack, there is only a USB 2.0 Type-C port.
Huawei Nova 5 Pro Review Camera:
Huawei Nova 5 Pro has a main photomodule for four sensors. The 48MP main camera, 16MP wide-angle camera, as well as the controversial 2MP for bokeh and 2MP for macro shooting, the camera can record video in 4K, however, the stabilization here is software only.
The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels, supports night mode and can unlock the smartphone in the face.
The built-in battery capacity is 3500 mAh. According to Huawei, 40W fast charging charges the smartphone 50% in 15 minutes, and 85% in 30 minutes. True, for such a speed, a special Huawei SuperCharge charger that comes with the smartphone.
