Screen:

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) became one of the world’s first smartphones with a “leaky” screen. Strictly speaking, it was the South Korean corporation that was the first to introduce Infinity-O technology, but competitors from Huawei were able to present their similar smartphone faster. By the way, according to unofficial information, both companies use a matrix from one supplier.

The screen of the new Samsung is a 6.4-inch AMOLED matrix with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. Its main feature is the round cutout for the front camera, located in the left corner of the display. Interestingly, there is also an LED backlight around the “eye”, which serves not only as a notification indicator but also as a front flash.

Housing:

As is customary in 2019, the smartphone received minimal side bezels. The upper one also decreased and Samsung engineers managed to fit a miniature earpiece slot into it. But the “chin” came out wide enough. The back panel is made of glass with gradient colors, of which there are three – blue, green, and gray. A fingerprint sensor is also located on the lid, which here is not round, but oval.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) Processor, memory, communications:

Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) received a fresh mid-level processor from Qualcomm – Snapdragon 710. The eight-core chipset is made using a 10-nm process technology and can operate at a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz. By the way, the popular AnTuTu benchmark estimates its performance higher than that of the flagship Snapdragon 821 processor from 2016.

The smartphone came out in a single modification – 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. There is no possibility to expand the latter, since there is no microSD slot on the phone, there was only room for two nano sims.

In terms of communications, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) has a complete gentleman’s suite – from dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi to NFC. True, which is unusual for Samsung, the phone got rid of the 3.5 mm audio jack, and the headphones are offered to be connected using Type-C or via Bluetooth.

Camera:

The smartphone has become one of the few smartphones with a three-module main camera. It includes a main 24-megapixel module with f / 1.7 aperture, a 10-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. However, as the tests of the “Chinese” Samsung Galaxy A8s demonstrate, the photo capabilities of the device are not the most powerful. Perhaps it’s all about the camera software and the manufacturer will refine it. The front camera, so neatly inscribed in the display, will delight lovers of “self” – its resolution is 24 megapixels.

Battery:

The battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019) is 3400 mAh. Together with an energy-efficient screen and processor, the phone can live up to 2 days on a single charge. By the way, the smartphone also supports Quick Charge 4 fast charging, and a special charger is included in the package.
